New blog design coming very soon!

Thank you for your messages regarding technical issues. We are working on the last few details of the new blog design so the page might not work properly in the next couple of days! Please bear with me a little bit while we bring the new design to live! :) Thank you!

Big changes - I'm moving to Italy!

As some of you may already know...we are moving to Italy in August! Destination: glamorous Milan, packed with design fairs, fashionable boutiques, good coffee and sunshine! I would lie if I said I'm not excited!

But.
There always must be a but, right?

As great, as it sounds, it wasn't an easy decision and if you manage to read through the whole post (it's getting a bit long and personal!) you will understand why.

I've never really mentioned, what I've been doing professionally, as it was not related to the blog's main theme: decorating, interiors, DIYs and other creative topics you usually find here. But I guess I've come to the point, where this little insight is needed.

After graduating from British University I was very focused on getting into corporate world, having a successful career, a good salary, and have a nice office in one of the London's skyscrapers. So when I got a job in sales department of one of the multinational companies, it was like a dream coming true. Offices around the globe, big clients, international meetings, traveling, champagne, conferences...in other words the corporate experience at it's best.

The first couple of years were challenging, hard work, dedication, pressure, deadlines and evenings spent in the office but at the same time it was very rewarding.
Five promotions later, as the youngest manager in the company I was relocated to Poland where I was in charge of the brand new office. I had everything I wanted: amazing team, reasonably successful career, a lot of satisfaction but I started to feel something was missing so I asked myself: Is this really what I want to do in my life?

I think you already know the answer.

Don't get me wrong, I loved my job. I really did but I decided to take a brave step, of walking away. It wasn't an easy decision and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet as I don't usually handle big changes very well. Terrified? Excited? Anxious? Happy? Probably a mix of all these feelings. I have to tell you guys, it's an emotional roller coaster!

"What if I fall? Oh my God darling what if you fly?" (The Sandman)

Leaving my job was a shock to the system, and I'm slowly starting to understand, that my life is going to be completely different. Better? I don't know yet but I'm excited to find out! I have certain plans and ideas, dreams and ambitions but nothing is certain.
What I know is that I'm moving to Italy to start a new adventure!
My mind is already occupied with planning all the details, organizing trip, trying to rent our apartment and packing...
Italy is waiting for us!

Ok, now tell me if you think I'm a little bit crazy or very crazy?
Would you take this step?

Visual crush

Hello! Hope you are enjoying your holidays. I'm working on finishing Passion shake's new design, together with lovely and very patient Rachelle (greetings!)  It seems like it should be ready very soon! In the meantime I want to share with you a little round-up of things I'm loving right now - the color palette here is so deliciously pretty I could literally eat these photos.
Ok, ok... I'll wait until you finish checking them out! But hurry! :)
