All right so it's time for the second part of my London adventures - The details of Clerkenwell design week 2014. I know, it took me more than it should to post it, but it's all because I was very carefully going trough thousands of photos to choose the best ones for you! Ok, ok you caught me, I've been also very busy these days, but better late than never, right?
Before I show you some of my favorite finds from the exhibition, let me tell you a little bit more about the show. Clerkenwell is a truly cool place to be, thanks to it's location, independence and atmosphere. Featuring four main exhibitions in the historical buildings and over sixty international showrooms, there was no way to get bored! On the first day, together with lovely Geraldine Tan, we had explored the Design Factory located in the former merchant's warehouse, the exhibition in the Victorian prison catacombs, and the venue in the church crypt. On the second day I visited most of the showrooms, attended a couple of design talks and met a lot more fantastic people. So here are some o my favorite picks from the visit in Clerkenwell. Get ready for a photo overdose!

#1 The hanging lights centerpiece in the Design Factory atrium, created by the Italian company Foscarini.
#2 Here is little selfie taken at the 'Tile mile' installation at St. John's Gate by the Turkish ceramics company.
#3 One of my favorite rooms in the Design factory was Holly's house filled with everything I would love to have in my home from gorgeous pastel cushions, through fun lighting and eye-catching stationary.
#4 Colorful side 'Petal tables' designed by Bim Burton and geometric wall Art on the walls of the former prison.
# 5 Pastel candle holders by And then design.
# 6 Copper lamps by Light years and wooden Orinocco bench by Henry Swanzy.
# 7 Colorful, funky lamps by Auxilium Salvage
# 8 Anglepoise desk lamp reinvented by Fashion designer Paul Smith with vibrant colors (Love it!)
# 9 Beautiful details showcased in the cells of the former prison.
# 10 Design K side table, made for just one tea, however I'm sure it could serve as a very handy planter as well, don't you think?
# 11 Tasty lunch with Geraldine at the stylish Modern Pantry.
# 12 Awesome sheet print by very talented artist Kristina Krough and some nice pastel pottery.
# 13 Beautiful handmade jewelery by Lovely Pigeon and amazing vessels by Hend Krichen created using Tunisian craft skills.
That's it my dear friends. Hope you enjoyed my favorite picks!

DeleteCudowne inspiracje.
Do domu skradłabym miętową lampkę i biało-czarne emaliowane pojemniczki.
ReplyDeleteCała przyjemność po mojej stronie :) Ja tę miętową lampe też bardzo chętnie bym przygarnęła... :) oraz miętową poduszkę. Buziaki :*
